Entrepreneur
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Compromise
Compromising is very much like setting boundaries, or drafting an agreement or honoring a commitment. These are basic skills for life in general and are important skills for a successful relationship with co-workers, friends and also love relationships.
Knowing how to compromise is a key component to a healthy and relationship of any type that you hope will last a long time or perhaps a lifetime. Without the willingness and ability to compromise, your work, friendship and committed relationships can be at risk for failure. If you have experienced failed relationships in your past, now is the time to break those old habits and create new ones.
Too many people feel that compromise takes away from who they are as an individual, or is a sign of weakness or makes them appear to be the passive partner in a relationship.

Buildings and Technology
Buildings became what could be not what had to be, this flexiblity is caused by technology.
steel took over stone
glass took over thick walls
Buildings became the opposite of the way they were and the purpose they served

Too many Roads to choose from can slow the journey. Imagination and creativity are gifts, but take care not to be distracted from you destination. Success and love are close if you choose the right path. On another path, illusions and dreams may never be realized. This card also warns against material goasl. as they will bring little satisfaction.

Helping Peru Recover from a Devastating Earthquake USAID
Tens of thousands of houses had fallen down during the quake because they were made of unimproved adobe.
“They didn’t have columns. The adobe used is not like their ancestors’ adobe buildings. There was not a lot of hay or vegetation in it. It was just bricks made from mud. When it started to shake, the houses just crumbled,” Gelman said.
The past had better quality.

Amman
We call it the White City.
It is said
whiteness signifies honesty and dependability, an x-ray of beauty,
they also say whiteness; the wealth of rich and poor - unites all classes.
whiteness it is "the eye of truth."
This makes me wonder, is it because other countries have natural sceneries - color diversity, made the movement of modern architecture to start.
Amman on the other hand, is an empty city - soulless
I think this modern architecture Can't apply if there is no contrast to this wonderful "Truth".
What makes Amman give this feeling?
is it the people?the architecture they manifest?is it the history?
other countries have the whiteness but you never feel the same way?again is it the natural colors that give this painting a richer sight?
maybe this is the beauty of the desert?

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason they never made it to your future.

Joseph Campbell
“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.”
“Marriage is not a love affair. A love affair is a totally different thing. A marriage is a commitment to that which you are. That person is literally your other half. And you and the other are one. A love affair isn’t that. That is a relationship of pleasure, and when it gets to be unpleasurable , it’s off. But a marriage is a life commitment, and a life commitment means the prime concern of your life. If marriage is not the prime concern, you are not married.”
“Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it. The meaning of life is Whatever you ascribe it to be. Being alive is the meaning.”
“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.”
“Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble.”
“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”
“Participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world. We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy.”
“We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about.”
“If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.”
“Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.”
“God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought. It's as simple as that.”
“When we talk about settling the world's problems, we're barking up the wrong tree. The world is perfect. It's a mess. It has always been a mess. We are not going to change it. Our job is to straighten out our own lives.”
“Life is like arriving late for a movie, having to figure out what was going on without bothering everybody with a lot of questions, and then being unexpectedly called away before you find out how it ends”
“The world is full of people that have stopped listening to themselves or have listened only their neighbors to learn what they ought to do, how they ought to behave, and what the values are they should be living for.”
“To find your own way is to follow your bliss. This involves analysis, watching yourself and seeing where real deep bliss is -- not the quick little excitement , but the real deep, life-filling bliss.”
“Any life career that you choose in following your bliss should be chosen with that sense — that nobody can frighten me off from this thing. And no matter what happens, this is the validation of my life and action.”

Life Path Number 3: The Twins
If you were born with a Life Path Number 3, your friends probably know you as a life-loving, creative, and sparkling personality.
All of these things are true: the Life Path Number 3 is born for pleasure, inventiveness, and living life to the full. You love to connect with people, whether face-to-face (you are probably the life and soul of any party) or through your creative medium: many Life Path Number 3s are writers, painters, broadcasters or orators.
It is not just your ability to entertain that makes you so lovable though. You are one of the worlds listeners as well. You don't pretend to be interested until it is your turn to speak - you are genuinely intrigued by most people and believe everyone has a fascinating story to tell. You probably break some hearts though, when you hear a fascinating story, absorb and digest it, then flutter off to the next person without looking back.
Money is not a great concern to those born with a Life Path Number 3. You are happy to spend it if you have it (probably on those you love) and are unconcerned if you are broke. After all, life is wonderful and there will always be more cash around the next corner. The amazing thing is that this seems to be exactly how it works out for those born under the 3 - something always turns up.
Life Path Number 3 has another face too, one that you know about but your friends would be very surprised to discover: you are easily hurt and, even if you are feeling fine, can retreat from the world at a moment's notice. Sometimes this is to simply recharge your batteries and other times it is to brood over a deep wound that only you can see.
Finding balance is the biggest challenge for you. You hate to be trapped in a routine and will often jump into an undesirable situation simply for the sake of change. Try to think more carefully before you quit your job, or catch a plane to Kathmandu - even though thinking things through can feel like a prison, it might save you some heartache from time to time.

Stop fighting with existence
Never create duality within you. If you decide to be true, then there will be an attraction to being untrue. If you try to decide to be nonviolent, then violence will become a sin.
just accept.
dont worry.
follow your heart, for there is no worry
follow your heart, for there is no decision

Love?
no lover has ever betrayed anybody. It is only ignorance that kills love. Both wanted to be together, but somehow both were ignorant. Their ignorance played tricks on them and became multiplied.

I can never change my opinion about the USA, EVEN when I try
350.org Obama just spoke but he doesn't say much. Pretty much repeats the American terms for a deal, which as you know aren't very good. It didn't sound like his last speech of the day, though--he's apparently out negotiating at the moment, trying to convince others to sign on to something!
Obama still has a chance to up his ac...tion, but it’s clear now that he’s not going to go the distance. What does it mean when the US President — someone many of us worked hard for — is selling out the survival of many nations?
Here's what we sent out to reporters as our reaction a few minutes ago: "In the face of leaked UN documents showing that this agreement is a sham, we were hoping for some movement from the President. Instead, his response was take it or leave it. 100 other nations are not making reasonable demands because they want to make the President's life harder.
It's because they would like their countries to actually survive the century.
Remember--don't get too hung up on the drama of the day. This is a longterm process, which we'll make clear later today when we help with a huge torchlit aerial art action that sends a message to our leaders as they jet home overhead.
We're all working hard--and working hard to remember that what happens today is not the final word, but one step in a long fight to save the climate. Don't get too high or too low from the afternoon headlines--know that we are a strong movement getting stronger.
This morning, Dessima Williams, the chairwoman of the Association of Small Island States, said: “The fact that more than 100 countries are calling for global warming to be limited to less than 1.5°C shatters the mythology that 2°C is an acceptable target, and instead highlights the broad consensus that climate mitigation goals should be based on up-to-date climate science.”
We’ve shattered a lot of mythologies at this climate conference. First, that rich countries are ever going to be willing to take on the necessary commitments without immense public pressure. And second — even more important — that we have an incredibly powerful movement building around the world that is ready to apply that pressure in powerful, effective, and yes, beautiful and creative ways.
Next time Obama gives a speech, he should have to face the Bangladeshi women connected to this post. He should have to face a movement.
(Note: This update is a re-mix of Bill McKibben's post on 350.org [http://j.mp/75nDzs] and Jamie Henn's roundup on It's Getting Hot in Here [http://j.mp/5xxeg])

Four of Swords Card
Contemplation will bring back a sense of peace.
Contemplation - comes from the Latin root templum (from Greek temnein: to cut or divide), and means to separate something from its environment, and to enclose it in a sector. Contemplation is the Latin translation of Greek 'theory' (theoria). In a religious sense it is a type of prayer or meditation.
Contemplation was an important part of the philosophy of Plato; Plato thought that through contemplation the soul may ascend to knowledge of the Form of the Good or other divine Forms.

the 2 sides
to ASSUME
is to make an ASS of you and me.
You should never ever assume or expect anything from anyone
you either ASK if you dont understand or EXPLAIN if you know
if you know your issues. you should act on them.
a problem comes from 2 sides.
but you should talk about it. not shout about it.
if i do this,, tell me not
if you do that,, i will tell you stop it.
if you shout i will sayyy shhhhh.. its ok
if i shout you should say shhhhhh.. its ok..
until each side admit his issues and wrong approach. and talk about them together.
nth will change.. and neither side will change.
if they are together they should cancel what is called EGO.
THAT IS A SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIP.

Selective ppl
it is said that If you want to understand today, you have to search yesterday.
well all i see, abusive use of everything and deleting the old. as if this is renovation for the old, by cancelling all its attributes.
I WONDER when we become history for tommorrow, what is our history?
what will they learn ; that all our step were done wrong. that we selected from our history and built on it to the maximum where it will always give an error and no returning back. as if we took it to the elastic point..
i think ppl from our histroy never took it to that level because they knew they shouldnt and that it will fire back on them and their world will turn into a self destructive box.
we are a selective generation, we took what is good in the history and never read it to the bad ending.
when i look around i see a man made environment, from the outside it looks wonderful, technological, fun, amusing.. but if you actually live in it you will witness the down side of every single fun amusing thing we made..it will override the good.
I think the opposite of our built environment, that balance us out is the self sufficient natural environment that we destroyed and cant recreate.

Tunnel to the future
Giant Antarctic iceberg heads towards New Zealand
SYDNEY: A giant iceberg twice the length of Beijing's "Bird's Nest" Stadium has been spotted floating off Australia and could be headed for New Zealand, scientists said on Thursday.
The ice chunk, measuring some 700 metres (2,300 feet) long with an estimated depth of 350 metres, caused a stir when it was sighted by experts based on Australia's remote Macquarie Island.
"I've never seen anything like it -- we looked out to the horizon and just saw this huge floating island of ice," said fur seal biologist Dean Miller.
Australian Antarctic Division glaciologist Neal Young said the flat-topped slab could break into dozens of smaller icebergs as it moves in the direction of New Zealand, causing a possible shipping hazard.
"It's rare to make a sighting like this -- it's certainly impressive-looking," Young said.
He said the iceberg had probably split from a major Antarctic ice shelf nine years ago, and said more could be expected in the area if global warming continues.
"If the current trends in global warming were to continue I would anticipate seeing more icebergs and the large ice shelves breaking up," he added.

Urban sos
In an increasingly urban world, people across the globe are experiencing the opportunities and challenges that come with rapid urban growth and the evolution of cities. This includes many economic, social and cultural opportunities offered by urban areas, which often drive economic growth, and provide the cradle for social and cultural change. However, people in many urban areas face a range of challenges that affect quality of life, limit opportunities and perpetuate inequalities. These urban problems include:
Environmental pollution
Social disintegration
Economic collapse
Effects of global warming
Impacts of natural disaster
Ecological degradation
Civil unrest
In many places, the benefits of urban growth are maximised and these challenges are mitigated through formal processes of regulation and positive city planning. However, alongside formal processes of city planning, formal urban development and planned investment, much urban change is the result of informal processes and the activity of individuals or initiative of communities. This informal activity operates at many scales, from the spontaneous development of large informal settlements, community-scale initiatives, to the activity of individuals. Often these informal processes are in response to the inability of formal structures to react appropriately or quickly enough to urban pressures and challenges.

anger hahahaha
But science is categorical that anger is a symptom of a complete loss of control.
The symptoms of anger are, for most part, similar to fear! The iris widens, the heart pumps blood faster, the pressure on the circulatory system is heightened. The hair follicles on the body stand up, even the blood chemistry changes. The fight-or-flight hormones, in fact, for anger and fear are the same: adrenaline and noradrenaline. In effect the entire sympathetic mechanism is on a chronic alert, bombarding the system to ‘prepare’ itself, just as fear does. The first flash of anger may be ‘useful’, but the next one, and the next, keep circulating in the blood chemicals which have outlived their moment, keeping us in a state of heightened sympathetic system arousal which is a diseased state, leading to chronic ailments.

Do you try to find meeting points between asian and european cultures?
I don't see them as opposites, the west and the east,
but for example western society seems to be centered on
american culture.
but I think it is important to understand that apart from that
main culture, there are so many other cultures,
and it is necessary to respect them all and their differences.

Attitude Assessment
wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights. when you refuse to settle for the status quo and continually strive to evolve, you will stay ahead of the competition in business and make a positive mark in life.
Right thought
Strive to always do what is right - not in the eyes of others, but in you own heart. others' thoughts are transitory - one moment they will love you, the next they will not. Act on what is right in your own heart, and there will be Victory.

The Current Situation
According to the census data collected by the Ottoman Empire, the Christian population in 1914 was 40% of the modern-day area consisting of Israel, West Bank, Gaza Strip, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Turkey; today it is no more than 5%.[2] The demographics changed largely due to the chronic emigration of Christians and, since the 1970s, their lower birth rates and persecution by Israel and Muslim extremists in the region.

Happiness
That's no surprise to happiness expert David Myers, who sees happiness as more closely correlated with people rather than things. "We humans have a deep need to belong—to connect with others in close, supportive, intimate, caring relationships," he says. "People who have such close relationships are more likely to report themselves 'very happy.'"
Urban Life
"The data strongly suggests that real community and real friendships are important keys to happiness," says Post. "Some cities make that possible in ways that others don't."
Good urban design and effective mass transportation can also determine how much time we spend commuting to work, and how much time we spend behind the wheel of a car running errands—both of which ultimately impact the amount of time we have for joyfully engaging with friends, family, and community.

Problem Solving
The way to remove darkness from a room is simply to turn on the light. In the same way to rid yourself of any difficulty, concentrate on the solution rather than the problem.

"Become one of those people who live their lives according to a standard of excellence. Become one of those people who refuse to be one of those timid souls who play small with their capacities.
Become one of those people who are constantly willing to do what is required to improve both as a businessperson and as a human being. Your life is important.
Make it great by daily and never-ending improvements."

There is no mysterious magical formula that you have to follow exactly in order to achieve happiness. Happiness is a personal journey of self-discovery. What makes you happy is not necessarily the same as what makes your friend, your partner, or your son or daughter happy.
Experimenting with key happiness factors will help you find the combination that works for you. Just be sure to take stock now and then to see how your emotional health is doing. It's worth your time and attention. Not only does your health benefit from it, but there's nothing like a contented smile, a look of ease, and a few sexy laugh lines to make you look -- and feel -- years younger.

Am not sure if architecture is helping the planet earth or if it is speeding up the aging of the planet.
Buildings are responsible for almost half (48%) of all greenhouse gas emissions annually; globally the percentage is even greater.

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Remember: "Happiness is a choice, not an automatic response."
By disciplining yourself to keep working toward your goals until you reach them, you develop well-deserved self-esteem and confidence. These are hallmarks of every happy and optimistic person. Remember what Benjamin Franklin once said, "Diligence is the mother of good luck."

This card warns against taking your blessings for granted. There is the tendency to yearn after that which is forbidden or unattainable but you have so much to be thankful for in your life already. is it really worth risking what you have for that which may lose appeal when obtained anyway?

On a deeper level, if one looks at the problems in the world today, they are primarily caused by men: Wars, crimes, raping of the land, and so much more are fundamentally male issues.

The New Age Woman: She wants to come into her power, and she wants equality, but her instincts want her man to be the macho guy, because that makes her feel safe. I feel like there is a war within ourselves between our consciousness and our instincts.

It is not enough to tackle the mechanics of terror organizations. We must also tackle the situations that create terrorists. We desperately need to address the frustration, the loss and the despair that drive some to these actions.
